In a historic moment in Indian Tourism, the Government of India, Ministry of Tourism launched the 777 Incredible India Himalaya campaign on 27th September 2013, also known as the World Tourism Day.
With 73% of the entire Himalayan range lying in India, the campaign celebrated this fact to make travelers aware that we have more to experience across the 6 Indian Himalayan states.
The keynote address was made by Conrad Anker, well known mountaineer and Brand Ambassador of the North Face equipment from USA.
On this world tourism day The Hon’ Tourism Minister Mr. Chiranjeevee inaugurated 777 Himalayas multi vendor portal designed by us in just 7 days.
The Uttarakhand Government decided to waive the peak royalties for climbing expeditions and decided that the Indian Government would have the peak fees too. This, in effect, ensures that for the next two years (777 days) climbers can enjoy expeditions in India with minimal peak royalties.
